Executive Coaching
The important thing is this: To be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become. ~ Charles DuBois
Coaching is a process of unlocking a person’s potential to maximize their performance. It’s not teaching or a style of management, but rather a dynamic relationship that elicits new insights and openings for effective action.
What’s Your Performance Challenge?
Our coaching programs are designed for executives, entrepreneurs, change agents, high-potential leaders, your direct reports, project teams and any professional who is looking to gain an edge in their performance.
Is there a gap between your targeted objectives and your actual results?
Are the people around you winning?
Do you have a bold vision that you’re not sure how to accomplish?
Are there behaviors or skills that you need to develop to reach your next level of performance?
Coaching provides you with a framework and method for focussing on your commitments and accomplishing them. Our coaches are extraordinary listeners and give you immediate “on the court” feedback. We use collaborative conversations that combine training, encouragement and holding you accountable, so as to produce your intended objectives.
We work with executives, entrepreneurs and mangers to:
- Increase the velocity of your results
- Develop skills and tools to elevate productivity and effectiveness
- Bring new thinking and focus to your critical challenges
- Produce unpredictable, breakthrough outcomes
We work with teams to help them:
- Operate as cohesive, collaborative, aligned groups
- Align their action so that they are in synch with each other and the overarching strategy
- Invent and achieve breakthrough outcomes
Clients view it as an interactive partnership
that supports them to overcome constraints, forward their professional development and execute and implement their vision. Inevitably this leads to greater clarity, peace of mind and increased bottom line results.
Long reserved for athletes or performers in the arts and once seen as primarily corrective action for underachievers, the principles and practices of coaching have become greatly valued in organizations.
Coaching is especially useful for strong performers who know more is possible for themselves and their organizations.
Masterful Coaching
We’ve been coaching individuals and organizations for the last two decades and have been among the leaders bringing the discipline of coaching into the mainstream and the world of business. When we started out people weren’t used to seeing coaches in organizations. Now there are coaches everywhere for just about anything.
There are many different definitions of coaching and many activities that are inaccurately labeled coaching. We view coaching as distinct from management, teaching, counseling, mentoring and training.
Coaching is a dynamic professional relationship that helps people produce extraordinary results in their lives, careers, businesses or organizations.
Nothing changes without personal transformation. ~ W. Edwards Deming
As coaches we facilitate transformation and are attentive to the needs, commitments, interests and concerns of the people with whom we work. We’re not there to jus teach you or give you new tips and techniques.
Our job is to help you see your work and your world in new ways and to open up pathways for extraordinary action and breakthrough results.
I can’t believe a year has passed since we started working together except for the fact that I feel as though I am a changed person and that level of change should have taken a lot more than a year. Not only have you provided me with a completely different outlook – a positive view that encompasses both situations and people. You have also helped me start a new company, have provided me with insights and recommendations that have helped propel a successful launch, and eased my stress when it all seemed too much to handle at one time. Quite an accomplishment.

Hiring The Lustig Group was the best thing I could have done for my business. My coach helped me view my business in a new light and better understand my world as a business owner. Their approach was clear, systematic, detailed yet easy to follow.

Like many professionals at mid-career, I found myself yearning to make more impact. Confused by the contradiction between my career progression and my belief that I am capable of much more, I sought the guidance of an executive coach. A trusted colleague referred me to Andrew. Andrew and I worked together for six months. With a series of assessments, we began my journey with an objective review of my work approach and tendencies and feedback from colleagues. Andrew helped me interpret this feedback compassionately, to give it due respect but not to dwell in it, and to see how my thoughts and interactions were contributing to my position. With just the right questions and observations at just the right times in our bi-weekly conversations, Andrew provoked realizations and insights that will serve me in every aspect of my life and help me to expect and achieve more.
One of my objectives I set for this period of introspection was to formally define my purpose. This proved harder and more circuitous than I had expected, with lots of false starts and incomplete thoughts. When I was finally and concisely able to articulate it, I knew it was right – for me. This is where Andrew distinguished himself. While I suspect that my purpose is inconsistent with his beliefs and aspirations, Andrew earnestly facilitated its formulation and wholeheartedly encourages my pursuit of it.
Experienced, versatile and well-read, Andrew was familiar with every subject and reference I introduced, and through our conversations, we drew new insights together. His intellect, wit and humility invite full and honest participation in the process. I have the sense that he is equally helpful to all of his clients and that he’ll be there when we need him again, perfectly and uniquely able to meet us where we are and capable of taking us where we want to go.

As I was launching my private counseling practice, I quickly learned that I had little experience in business. A friend referred me to Andrew Lustig to help me focus and determine my business direction, and then, how to make it all happen.
In the beginning and during the first few years, Andrew and his colleagues helped me think through the challenges and opportunities that confront most small business people: are the actions I am taking consistent the right ones? Will these actions forward my business and have it be built to last? How do I keep my pipeline full with new clients? What actions am I avoiding, and what is this costing my business and me personally?
Today, my practice is thriving. Our services have expanded and we are fully grounded in our community. The constant
worry I used to have about the future has disappeared. The best result I’ve gotten from coaching is that I now have a resiliency and a strength as a leader and a manager.
I have grown and developed into the kind of professional I’ve always imagined - effective, satisfied and confident about the future - while having a whole lot of fun.-David Bolton, M.Ed., LPC, Owner, Triad Behavioral Resources, PLLC, Greensboro, NC
